For applications using these graphics, you are best suited to chose the size you need or the next larger sized image and scale it down in your application. Scaling an image up will result in loss of clarity and pixilation, so a good rule of thumb is to only enlarge the image if there is no alternative. Below is an example of two images inserted into Microsoft Word. Both are sized at 120 dpi, however the top image was inserted as a 240 dpi image and scaled down by 50%. The bottom image was inserted as a 120 dpi image without scaling. The difference in evident. So if at all possible, scale down a larger file than you think you need, and you will probably be happy with the results.
To save an image to your hard drive, click the link below for the appropriately sized image and a new window will open. Here you can preview the image. If this is suitable for your needs, right click on the image and select "Save Picture As" from the pop-up menu. Then select the location for the file on your hard drive. Be advised that some web browsers may scale the image to fit the browser window.
